If I could go back to the start of my design journey and choose a different character, it'd probably be motion designer. I've always had a deep appreciation for the synthesis of storytelling, design thinking, technical skill, and sound mixing that come together to make a good spot. Alas, turns out I'm more of a tourist in Premiere and After Effects than a full time resident, mostly due to the muse pulling me in different directions and clients who were asking for other things. Though it's not my area of expertise, I still dabble occasionally and get to collab with a lot of actual motion designers, for which I'm very grateful. I've rounded up a few of those projects below to keep them all in one place and revisit from time to time...like the tourist I am.
